The proposed allocated use for the Site is residential. The Site could provide an estimated capacity of 100 dwellings which would represent a gross density of 17.3 dwelling per hectare (dph).
A landscape led approach and consideration of open space provision has informed the estimated capacity of the Site. It is also reflective of recently developed housing in the area at Oakwood Gate to the west and Bampton Meadows to the south providing a gross dph of 17.9 and 22.6 respectively.
The proposed residential use of the land would represent a logical extension to Bampton reflecting recent extensions to the settlement.
