The last thing our village of North Leigh needs is more housing, adding an additional burden on already overstretched infrastructure and services and contributing to poorer air quality - there are no doctors or dentists in the village, roads are already too busy and unsafe, the village has grown over-substantially already over the past few years.
I am proposing rewilding of the land west of Common Road to allow biodiversity to flourish, and have a positive lasting benefit for local flora and fauna as well as generations to come.
Now more than ever a commitment to protecting our environment, rewilding our countryside, and providing more opportunities to combat global warming is what is desperately needed, rather than selling off land to the next avaricious land developer to build more houses which would be a devastating blow for our village.
