Sharing EV charger, Solar PV, or Heat Pump with neighbours
From "Ask a question"
Go to the project

There are a number of car share clubs running across the District, but has anyone got experience of sharing an EV charger or indeed energy from Solar PV or Heat Pumps with their neighbours?
If so, is this an informal arrangement or have you put in place a more formal agreement?
Interested to know, as this is something we would really like to encourage.

By the by, lovely juxtaposition in the photograph: super-shiny car chargers, alongside a shaky-looking fence and kerbs that need weeding!
I do not mind councillors having vision (and I very much admire the effort they all put into their duties), but I do hope the time they lavish on their 'special projects' leaves them long enough to actually empty the bins (WODC) and mend the potholes (OCC).

I note from time to time trailing charging leads outside houses. That's fine, but is there not a chance that sooner or later someone will accidentally touch the live across two different phases and get one hell of a shock!

Speak to the Low Carbon Hub - they have a West Oxfordshire branch,

@Steve Rowe Thanks Steve - good suggestion. I'll check with the Low Carbon Hub. They'll have some pointers on best practice, and I think they will also be interested in residents' experience of what is working for them across the area.
