Conversion or replacement of office buildings in the Tannery Yard and the older laundry buildings, which are no longer needed, to form a mix of dwellings approx 8-10. The site is within Burford Conservation Area and is adjacent to listed buildings. It is within the Cotswolds AONB, the Cotswolds Valleys Nature Improvement Area and the Upper Windrush Valley Landscape Area. The site is an employment site of which currently Policy E1 of the Local Plan 2031 prohibits non-employment uses, however the site is currently underused and unviable as offices and the proposal would provide an opportunity for housing on a previously developed site within the built up area of Burford as a higher tier settlement in a sustainable location.
