The Veolia Environmental Trust, which provides grants for community and environmental projects, has announced the opening of its next funding round.

The Trust makes the following grants:

·      Community Grant Scheme

o  These grants are open to constituted not-for-profit organisations and local authorities. They provide funding ranging from £10,000 to £75,000, aimed at creating or improving buildings or outdoor spaces for the benefit of the community. The maximum project size eligible for funding is £350,000.

·      Nature Conservation Grants Schemes

These are only available to Environmental Bodies (EBs) who are already enrolled with Landfill Communities Fund regulator ENTRUST.

o  Habitat and Biodiversity Grants: Projects focused on conserving, restoring, or enhancing threatened habitats and/or protecting and increasing biodiversity can apply for grants between £10,000 and £75,000. The maximum project size eligible for funding is £350,000.

o  Environmental Improvement Grants: For larger-scale conservation projects, such as habitat creation/management and species protection, grants exceeding £75,000. Please ensure that you read and understand the criteria before submitting a proposal.

The closing date for applications is 12 mid-day on the 3rd October 2024.
