Biodiversity Action Plan
Scroll down to find out more and take the survey.
We have created a Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) as part of our ongoing commitment to respond to the ecological emergency. The BAP which will run to 2030 seeks to enhance nature radically, helping to make West Oxfordshire a place where people and nature thrive.
The purpose of this plan is to set out ambitious yet achievable aims and actions to better tackle biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation across the district and the wider inter-connected landscape. This plan delivers on the council’s climate and ecological emergency commitments, which have the overarching aspiration to achieve district-wide carbon neutrality and climate change resilience by 2050.
We would like your views on this new plan, in order to capture the priorities of our community and whether there is anything we haven’t captured that will be key to delivering our vision.
We intend to review and update the strategy based on feedback from the consultation, our Council priorities, and what is deliverable in terms of Council and partner resources.
