Westhive

Westhive is WODC’s first venture into community crowdfunding, and it’s all about transforming local areas for the better, and empowering individuals and groups to fund projects that truly matter to their communities.

At its core, Westhive is driven by the vision of making West Oxfordshire a vibrant place to live, work, and visit. We believe that those who call this district home hold the most insight into what it needs. Therefore, Westhive seeks to tap into this local knowledge, and enable residents, community groups, and businesses to actively shape the future of their area.

The programme will be delivered in partnership with the UK's leading civic crowdfunding platform, Spacehive, who have already helped fund over 2000 ideas nationally, and raised nearly £30 million to support local projects.

On 16 October, we will host a creative workshop with Spacehive, to equip residents with the tools and knowledge needed to brainstorm and develop their project ideas. If you know any group or individual with an idea that Westhive could potentially support, please do encourage them to attend.
